All third-party access is limited to what is necessary for providing their services. We collect health information from employees solely for insurance purposes. This information is:

We do not collect sensitive personal data such as race, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, sexual orientation, or criminal record information. Health information is collected solely for employee insurance purposes with explicit consent.

Requests to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to processing, will be responded to within 45 days as required by PIPA. If additional time is needed due to complexity, we will make this request with the Privacy Commissioner’s office and notify you within 30 days of receiving the request.

In the event of a data breach that may affect your rights and freedoms, we will:

  2. Inform affected individuals promptly
  3. Take steps to contain and remedy the breach
  4. Implement measures to prevent recurrence
