Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair, with expertise in wastewater and sanitation systems. This role requires a professional who can work independently, troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, and deliver high-quality workmanship in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

And let’s be real—if you’re squeamish about sewage, this might not be the job for you! Our work isn’t always glamorous, but it’s essential, rewarding, and (most of the time) doesn’t smell that bad!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and pipe failures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system functionality and compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Install and service septic systems, grease traps, sump pumps, and sewage treatment plants.
  • Work with blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to complete installations accurately.
  • Utilize a variety of plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets BSE’s high standards for safety, quality, and sanitation.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyman Plumber Certification (recognized in Bermuda or eligible for local equivalency).
  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience, with expertise in sanitation and wastewater systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Experience with PVC, PEX, copper, and cast-iron piping systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and performing labor-intensive tasks.
